Designed
specifically for filmmakers using Bolex camera equipment with the MST motor
as their prime sync sound support device, the MOTORLOCK unit allows adaptation
of the Bolex MST sync motor for cableless crystal sync operation.
The filmmaker simply connects the MOTORLOCK unit in-line between the
battery pack or belt and the MST motor to affect crystal sync operation.
No switches, controls or meters are involved. The speed of the Bolex is then
locked to 24fps referenced to the internal crystal oscillator. Failsafe
provisions throughout the system will alert the filmmaker in any situation
that causes a loss of sync.
The normal cable sync and electronic clapstick capabilities of the motor are still retained both with and without the MOTORLOCK unit connected. Modification of your MST motor and battery is required and this adaptation is included in the cost.
